The processors will becomes responsible to know about loop-positions
and map latency-compensated start_sample, end_sample into the loop-range
as needed.
* Processor implement get_state(), classes derived from Processor
implement protected ::state() -- as documented in processor.h
* likewise for Route, Track: make ::state() a protected interface
* removal of "full_state", use explicit "template_save"
* use RAII/Unwind to skip saving automation-state
These are only relevant for DiskIO Processors, however more
use-cases may present themselves (e.g. LuaDSP)
* centralize signal_latency_at_***_position to processors
* update initial-delay/roll-delay when processor order changes
* consolidate signal-latency calculation: use the same method
for processor-changes and session's post_playback_latency.
* include relative output-delay in roll-delay
* fix capture processor position & optimize stem-export latency
(roll-delay fixes pending Route:roll() update)

Rule #89: The *owner* of each automation-control is responsible to
evaluate automation of automated automation-controls (and emit Changed()
signals to notify the GUI and slaved controls).
This can happen during run(), when the Processor evaluates automation
(eg. PluginInsert does that), but needs to regardless, every cycle.
Emit Changed signal for GainControl
This follow the same concept as PluginInsert: The Changed signal
is called on demand when evaluating automation.
* new separate API: en/disable
* old API remains in place for hard bypass
* PluginInsert::enable() falls back to activate/deativate if a plugin
does not provided designated bypass control port
Pass current (latency compensated) cycle times to plugin.
This fixes time-reporting to plugins and also fixes automation
and when bouncing (the session->transport* is not valid) etc.

We need to store a pointer in the backend to allow to share the Proxy
between Mixer and Editor-Mixer.
fixes crashes:
* If the Editor-Mixer shows a channel with a plugin that
has been edited in the Mixer, double-clicking the plugin
will try to bring up a 2nd instance of the plugin-UI.
* When closing Ardour both the Mixer and the Editor-Mixer try to delete the underlying plugin, resulting in a double free.
Use SessionObject* rather than Route so that per-region plugins will be possible in the future.
* forward midi-data around plugins that have no MIDI-out
* allow to insert plugins with no MIDI-input at a point with one MIDI-channel
This works because excess ports (both plugin and route) remain
unconnected and use scratch-buffers.
Tested with LV2, LXVST and LADSPA.
(AU plugins with variable in/out retain the old behavior, no bypass)

output ports can resolve any notes currently playing (2) remove MidiStateTracker from MidiPort and use a fixed set of MIDI messages (sustain-off and all-notes-off, per channel) to do note resolution (3) move note resolution caused by a LoopEvent psuedo-event to within the main MidiPort::flush_output() loop, so that we resolve (turn off) Notes that come before the loop point, rather than send them out after the note resolution messages

bugs with delivery muting. The upshot being that muting now definitely
happens in a channel's deliveries, and not really in the channel strip
at all. When the channel is muted, those deliveries described by
the MuteMaster settings are muted. Should fix #3141.

must leave
the passed-in buffers valid. In the case where the main outs delivery is the last
processor in a route, this is not necessary (and wasteful). If another processor
(e.g. a meter) follows the main outs, the passed-in (scratch) buffers must be valid
or the meter will get garbage data.
Fixes meters displaying phantom signals in some cases.

LOADING 2.X SESSIONS WITH THIS COMMIT IN PLACE WILL (PROBABLY) CORRUPT THE .ardour FILE,
MAKING THE SESSION UNLOADABLE ON 2.X AND LOSING INFORMATION.
So don't do that unless you make a backup of the session file first.
